is so many scope in Nepalese Agriculture
13.7 % GDP & 57% employment is coming from Agriculture
Agriculture is the principal source of raw material to the
industries like Sugar, Paper, textile, food processing, diary etc.
A Human being cannot live without food. We can survive
without technology but can't without food so agriculture is very important for
every country or society.
World population is expected to reach 10.5 billion by 2050.
This increase translates into 33% more human mouths to feed and food supplies
would need to increase by 60% in order to meet the food demand in 2050.

Scope from Nepalese Agriculture
1. Post harvest industry - Post Harvest Losses in Cereals by
20-30% and Fruit & Vegetables by up to 60%. The is incurring post harvest
losses of fruits and vegetable worth Rs 100 crore per year, due to lack of
storage and processing facilities. So you can think what type of opportunity in
food processing industry.
2. Storage - Nepal is far behind in a cold storage
facilities. We are seeing price variation in so many crops within a year and it
may go up to 2000% like Potato available during harvesting time in throw
away price but after 3-6 month it is may up to 20 times higher. We can see this
type of trade in so many crops like Fruits & Vegetables
3. Organic Crops market - There are so many diseases or
physiological disorder occurring in Human being due to change of lifestyle
& food habits. Nepal's 99% crops (Cereals, Vegetables & fruits) grown
under chemical influence. Now people are educated & they are ready to pay
higher price for safer food or organic food. People are ready to pay but due
unavailability of products & knowledge they unable to reach.
4. Aurvedic Medicines- Aurvedic medicine & food supplement
demand are increasing day by day in the world as well as in our country also.
Nepal's is the major supplier of Aurvedic medicine & food. All aurvedic
medicine made by herbs only so you can grow high demand aurvedic herbs.
5. Diary industry - Nepal's is still far behind in milk or
dairy produce. There is a huge scope in dairy industries especially in undeveloped
part of Nepal like mid western & far
western because huge demand supply gap.

Government jobs..As Nepal is divided into seven states, the demand for
agriculture officer, JTA, vetenarian and fisheries officer are increasing year
after year.

NGO and INGO project…Different international, government and non government organization
are funding different projects for agriculture development, food security,
conservation of wildlife and forest and agro based industries and food
technology which is major scope for agriculture student.

Agriculture lecturer…As the agriculture college and university are increasing
year after year, the demand of lecturer is increasing.

Foreign occupation..Many bachelor and masters students are used to going
foreign country for better education and better job facility as the agriculture
is globalised subjects and its demand is high all around the world.

Entrepreneur…Agriculture is vast subject and each and every fields of
agriculture is equally importance. Agriculturist student can run their own business
in either sector such as agricultural crop, horticultural crops, livestock,
fisheries or can run his/her own agribusiness and provide employment to many
people.
11. Researcher...There are many mysterious things about agricultural plants and livestock and many diseases related to them which are still under studied that can become subject matter of research for many agriculture students.
