Red Story OF My Field

Agriculturist must have knowledge of every aspects of chemical fertilizer. This story is based on achievement of student in agriculture field. This is my own story based on use of Red fertilizer.

In Nepal, Potassium fertilizer represents muriate of potash (i.e.KCl) or in short Potash fertilizer. It is found in Red color. Many farmers are unaware of using potash in their field. They mainly use nitrogenous fertilizer such as UREA and DAP. This case story will enforce farmer and every agriculturist to use potassium fertilizer.

Red story of my field

This is the story of Kapilvastu district of Nepal. This story is related to my small efforts on my agricultural field. When I was young, I still remember that my parent did not use any means of chemical fertilizer in fields rather they used organic manures like buffalo and goat excreta. There was no availability of chemical fertilizer. In that time, buffalo and Goat were reared in every house of village. As I grew old, I found that village people were rearing very few livestock and their desire for agricultural occupation goes on decreasing. Now they have started to use UREA and DAP in their field. My parent also started that trend. The production went on increasing every year with the application of fertilizers in two or three year successively. But after that there were consistency in production. As I started to study agriculture subject, I have got more knowledge of chemical fertilizer especially UREA and DAP and POTASH (red fertilizer), their uses and functions. I had not seen my parent using Red fertilizer. I was eager to use this red fertilizer. And I convinced my parent to use Red fertilizer in paddy field and had bought 5 kg Red fertilizer for 0.3 hectare land. The production of rice in previous year was 22 muri(1.76 ton) in 0.3 hectare which was considered more. I was really excited to know what will be production after use of Red fertilizer. And the month  kartik(November) came and paddy were harvested. I feel happy that production was near to 1.84 ton about increment of 80kg. And i believe increment is due to red fertilizer. After that, farmer of my village are also starting to use Red fertilizer along with DAP and UREA. They have used Red fertilizer in potato cultivation and results have to come yet.
