GREEN REVOLUTION A BOON OR A CURSE? 1970 was the year when ‘Father of green revolution’, Norman E Borlaug was awarded with noble prize for his extra ordinary work in world peace through increasing the food supply. He introduced semi-dwarf, high yielding, disease resistant variety of wheat (stem rust resistant) along with modern technology in Mexico. He introduced this variety in Mexico, Pakistan and India. The country which were unable to produce sufficient food are starting to export to other countries. According to the article published on 1997 states that the way of agriculture adopted by Borlaug have saved billion of life. VISIT TO AGRICULTURE COOPERATIVES OF KAPILVASTU A visit has been made to Mayur krishi tatha pashu bikash sahakari sanstha limited on date 25 th kartik 2075. It was established on 2066 B.S. It is located in the heart of kapilvastu district i.e. banganga municipality. It was established with the motto of developing self employment through agriculture and vet sectors.
